The former Arsenal captain took over on the 20th of December in 2019 and promptly led the team to an FA Cup victory a short time later. However, that first major trophy stands as his lone significant piece of silverware following the departure of Unai Emery.
“I can,” he stated when questioned about his future past 2027. “However, it is about today. And a lot of things must occur in the coming months as well to warrant that continuation.”
